Andrew Warner’s Stuff

I do interviews on http://mixergy.com - This is where I put all my random stuff.

I don't mind getting a 4, but why not tell me why you think my interview was so bad???

I embedded a "rate my interview" feedback form under today's interview with the founder of WhitePages. Someone gave me a rating 4 (out of 10), which is cool, but then he/she left me this comment. Booo.

Thanks for reaching out even when someone rates a 4.0 - Its important for you - So let me be as honest as I can to help - The interview was no different from the many excellent previously - And it wasn't you that lowered the score for me; it was all about your guest.

Because I want to find todays formula for transformation and breakthrough - Its all then about todays secret formulas that I can learn from; the stuff that you don't find in the MBA book list.

Your target guest as nice as he was - I felt like his story of transformation had passed a long time ago he and his company has almost become establishment.

Sometimes we look for other peoples drama to get our own lives right!

Even - If there had been a lesson of how failure had made the difference this might have done it, but I couldn't find the drama.

Not sure if this helps - This is not meant as a critical comment and hopefully you agree - Just honest feedback (for me) personally on a question that is important (to you).

First, I did not hear the interview in question.

I would be interested in knowing if that comment was based on only hearing 1, maybe 2 interviews on Mixergy? Pretty lame when you ask for constructive feedback, someone rates you but doesn't give any specifics or suggestions to improve. Regardless, I am a new listener to Mixergy, within the last 2 months and can say that the questions Andrew asks and the context of his conversation with entrepreneurs is EXACTLY what I want and need to hear as another entrepreneur. Keep doing what your doing.

Jeremy, I published that feedback to encourage others to rate me and even disagree. Thanks for taking it that way.

I hear what you're saying about that interview. I think he was closed off because he was worried about the interview. I could have gotten more of the drama and techniques if he knew me before the interview or did a pre-interview with me.

Problem was that I couldn't even email him directly before the interview. I think the company saw me as 'media' when we scheduled the conversation. After it was over, he & I Skyped and he gave me his email.

Thanks for telling me.
